The Words of Jesus

Learn of Jesus by reading the words he spoke when he was with us in the flesh. We know the words of Jesus because they are recorded by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These are the disciples of Jesus who were with him in the flesh. They heard the words of Jesus, and saw his deeds.

The gospels are the first four books of the new testament of the Lord Jesus Christ. To learn of Jesus is to find rest for our souls. Jesus himself said,

Matthew 11:29

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Some  people say that the Gospel According to Saint John is a good place to start reading. John was very close to Jesus and there are most words of Jesus in this gospel.
